Who we are

Our website address is: https://laura-ingalls-wilder.com.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it:

We do not collect any personal data on our visitors. We do have an email sign up form on our site where visitors can voluntarily enter their email addresses. We use our list to keep our email subscribers informed of new products, special offers and news related to the curation of our products.

Comments

We do not accept comments on our site. If you want to contact us, use our Contact Us tab.

Media

We do not allow our visitors to upload media to our site.

Contact forms

When you submit a contact form, we capture your name and email address. We use this information to send out periodic newsletters about our products, performances and services. We do not share or sell our emailing list to anyone for any reason. You may opt-out of our email list at anytime by clicking “unsubscribe” at the bottom of any of our emails.

Orders

All of the embedded order links on our site go to third-party sellers, such as Amazon.com. Since they are the seller of record of our products, they collect customer data when our products are sold. Such data is proprietary to Amazon, and they do not make it available to us. We do not use data collected in the order process for marketing purposes, nor do we share this data or sell it.

Cookies

We do not save cookies on our visitors. We do not register our users, so we have no accounts and no login information to store. We do not allow our users to edit or publish articles on our site.

Subscriptions

Data Used: We do not take subscriptions to our site. Therefore, we do not collect and store data on anyone beyond or proprietary email list, which is voluntary, or via our Contact Us form.

Activity Tracked: Functionality cookies are set for a duration of 347 days to remember a visitor’s blog and post subscription choices if, in fact, they have an active subscription. We do not allow active subscriptions at this time.

Embedded content from other websites

Content on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics

Who we share your data with:

We collect some anonymous analytics data.

Data Used: IP address, WordPress.com user ID (if logged in), WordPress.com username (if logged in), user agent, visiting URL, referring URL, timestamp of event, browser language, country code. Important: The site owner does not have access to any of this information via this feature. For example, a site owner can see that a specific post has 285 views, but he/she cannot see which specific users/accounts viewed that post. Stats logs — containing visitor IP addresses and WordPress.com usernames (if available) — are retained by Automattic for 28 days and are used for the sole purpose of powering this feature.

Activity Tracked: Post and page views, video plays (if videos are hosted by WordPress.com), outbound link clicks, referring URLs and search engine terms, and country. When this module is enabled, Jetpack also tracks performance on each page load that includes the Javascript file used for tracking stats. This is exclusively for aggregate performance tracking across Jetpack sites in order to make sure that our plugin and code is not causing performance issues. This includes the tracking of page load times and resource loading duration (image files, Javascript files, CSS files, etc.). The site owner has the ability to force this feature to honor DNT settings of visitors. By default, DNT is currently not honored.

How long we retain your data

We do not allow comments, so we have no comments and its metadata to retain. Functionality cookies are set for a duration of 347 days

We do not register users on our website.

What rights you have over your data

If you have signed up for our email list, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

If you join our email list, your data is retained on Mail Chimp servers via our Mail Chimp account.

Data Used: If we accepted comments, we would retain the commenter’s name, email address, and site URL (if provided via the comment form), timestamp, and IP address. Additionally, a jetpack.wordpress.com IFrame receives the following data: WordPress.com blog ID attached to the site, ID of the post on which the comment is being submitted, commenter’s local user ID (if available), commenter’s local username (if available), commenter’s site URL (if available), MD5 hash of the commenter’s email address (if available), and the comment content. The following information is sent to the service for the sole purpose of spam checking: commenter’s name, email address, site URL, IP address, and user agent. But, again, we do not allow comments or retain your personal data, other than on our email list.

Activity Tracked: NONE. If we allowed comments we would retain the comment author’s name, email address, and site URL (if provided during the comment submission), stored in cookies. But we do not allow comments or store cookies on our visitors.

Data Synced (?): All data and metadata (see above) associated with comments. This includes the status of the comment and,  whether or not it was classified as spam by our automated spam detection service. But we do not allow comments.
